3/26/04 – EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Four F/A-22 Raptors are captured flying a four-ship formation in the skies above Edwards during a recent operational test flight here. The Raptor got good reviews Monday from a high-level Pentagon committee, clearing the way for the next stage of realistic combat testing. A formal decision on whether the program can begin dedicated initial operational test and evaluation, in which four planes are to fly a variety of combat scenarios, rests with the Pentagon's top procurement official.
